O: Hey, guys. Have you ever had a scary spider experience?
R: Oh, actually, recently I had one. So I looked in my genkan and I saw this
huge huntsman spider.
O: Oh.
R: I was terrified because it was so big, bigger than my hand. I thought, "Why is this spider here in Tokyo in this city?" and then I realized it must have come in the box I had shipped from the countryside.
O: 田舎から取り寄せた荷物に紛れ込んでいたアシダカグモを見つけてしまったという話ですね。確かに怖いですね。 デイビットさんは？
D: Oh, well, I had a dream that I was a spider once. But it wasn't bad. I looked in the mirror. I said, "So I'm a spider. So what?"

先生方の「怖い話」を聞いて、数十年前の記憶がよみがえりました
アシダカグモ、今では全く見かけませんが、子どもの頃に住んでいた家ではちょっちゅう見かけていました(笑)
それから、恐怖体験と言うより、不思議体験もあって
子どもの頃、夕方、家の近くで「火の玉」を見たんですよ
ぼーっと現れてぼーっと消えていきました
今となっては「あれは現実だったのか？」とも思いますが、ともかく当時は怖いという感覚はなかったですねぇ
それにしても、あの「火の玉」（と思われたもの）は一体何だったんでしょうねぇ
