Prince fut coins Charles has played a blinder this week. After Environment agency boss Lord Smith refused to apologise to residents of Somerset Levels for all but abandoning them, Charles donned his waterproofs and wellies, and hi-tailed down to Muchelney, where he got down, dirty and very wet with the locals.
He also spent hours talking to farmers in a way that showed them he understood what they were going through. He then pledged from his Countryside Fund which seemed to jump start the Government into pledging the following day.
