A walking group that began eight years ago.
登れる人も、休んでいる人もいる。
Some still walk the mountains, others take a pause.
昨日は18人で、水炊きを囲んだ。
Yesterday, eighteen of us shared a simple meal.
この会も、いつかは自然に終わるのだろう。
One day, this group will quietly fade away.
それまでは、歩ける山を歩き、
Until then, we walk when we can,
歩けなければ、集まればいい。
and gather when we don’t.
続けようと言わずに、続いている時間を。
Time continues, without anyone insisting it should.
