A participle is a form of a verb - either ING or Past Participle (3rd form of a verb).
A participle clause is a subordinate clause which begins with a participle.
They act like adverbs and are linked to the main clause of a sentence.
They usually show things like event order, time, cause and effect:

分詞構文とは具体的にはParticeple Clauseのことを指す。そしてParticeple Clauseとは「主節と同じ主語を省略し、さらには、順序、時、原因、結果を表す接続詞を省略したために動詞が~ingあるいは~ed化して、人称、時制が消滅した、従属節のことであり、所謂non finite subordinate clause」のことである。

Non-finite clauses contain a verb which does not show tense. We usually use non-finite verbs only in subordinate clauses. We usually understand the time referred to from the context of the main clause. We often use a non-finite clause when the subject is the same as the subject in the main clause:
