アメリカにはMedical School（大学院）に入るチャンスを大きくする４年制大学がある・・・・。
医学を志す日本の高校生で高所得層の家庭の高校生はアメリカの高所得層向けの大学に入りMedical Schoolを目指すのが妥当かもしれない。この方法は親が大病院の経営をしているので跡を継ぐ必要がある高校生にはピッタリだろう。外国籍の者がMedical Schoolに合格する可能性は非常に少ないとは言え決してゼロではない。その場合は下記の表の上位の大学のどこか（ところどころ大学名を削除してあります）を選べばいい。これらの親の年収9100万円以上の学生の割合が高い大学は実はMedical Schoolに行くための「予備校」と言えなくもない。
Vanderbiltは野球などのスポーツをすることを主たる目的とした者が入る大学ではない。どちらかと言えば医師を志す者が入るべき大学だ。For fall 2018, 76% of first-time Vanderbilt applicants to medical school were admitted to at least one allopathic (M.D.) school, compared to the national acceptance rate of 41-43%.
