You are invited to join our discussion on the use of coaching in
the field of education and learn from Michie Fukuda, a seasoned
coach specializing in working with children and young people,
which well-honed skills practiced by school coaches are vital for
coaches of adults as well.
“An excellent school coach is a masterful coach of adults,” says
Ms. Fukuda, co-founder of an ICF-accredited school coach training program. Ms. Fukuda will introduce the history and development of school coaching in Japan, as well as lead coaches through key lessons from school coaching that can be applied to business coaching. She will also reveal the exact skills of school coaches that make them such superb coaches of adults and teach how you can hone those skills for use with your clients.
Participants will leave the workshop newly inspired by coaching’s
wide reach and by their own potential for doing even more good in
their client’s lives.
This training will integrate the following ICF core competencies:

Special attention will be given to the skill of Active Listening.
At our meeting, we will:
- Learn about the development and current state of school
coaching in Japan
- Reveal what school coaches know that business coaches
need to know
- Coach each other, focusing on the ICF core competencies
of Establishing Trust and Intimacy with the Client and
Coaching Presence
- Give & receive feedback on coaching
- Explain how you can earn Continuing Coach Education units
The Coaching in English Group is open to any coach or
would-be coach of any nationality who uses or wants to use
English professionally in their coaching sessions. Activities will
be conducted in English. Please join us to meet other coaches
working in English, earn CCEUs, and build a supportive
professional community with an international flavor.
