海外に仕事や勉強で行く人が出発前にコーチングを受けることは、
出発準備をするためや文化の違いに適応するため、
あるいは仕事に就くまでの計画を立てるためなどに大変役に立ちます。
また、海外に行って仕事や生活が落ち着いたときに生じるさまざまな
問題の解決、またはそれ以降に生じる不安、とまどいの解決、
日本に帰国するまでの目標設定、帰国後の仕事や生活のあり方などに
コーチングは機能します。
私は日本語と英語でコーチングを行いますが、クライアントが
日本人であっても英語でコーチングを行うことがあります。
というのも、クライアントの方々が私と英語でコーチングを行うことで、
コーチングだけでなく、英語とそれに相関する習慣も一緒に学べるからです。
例えば、クライアントの方が英語の質問が分からなかったとき、
日本語でも繰り返し質問します。これによりクライアントが大切と思っている
ことについての英語の活用範囲が広がります。
私は英語を教えていた経験がありますので文法も教えますし、
日本人に馴染みのない英語のフレーズも教えます。
私自身旅行が好きで、海外にある程度の期間海外に住んでいました。
ですので海外で生活する人を応援することはなにより私を元気にしてくれます。
バイリンガルでのコーチングを行うことで、クライアントの方々が
海外で楽しく、実り多く過ごすことの実現、まさしくそれが私のゴールです！
When travelers are overseas for work or study, coaching sessions can be very valuable for preparing for the trip, adapting to different customs, and pre-trip employment plans.
Coaching also works for solving the issues and concerns that come up after they are settled in both your business and private life abroad and the goal-setting during and after their life in abroad.
I coach in both English and Japanese, so sometimes I coach in English even though my clients are Japanese. My clients have mentioned that our time together was extra valuable since language and customs are often interrelated.
As an example, when a client doesn't understand my question in English, I will ask the question again in Japanese. This often helps my client's application of English to areas that are important to them.
Since I also have experience in teaching English, I can also assist in areas such as grammar or understanding certain local phrases that are generally not understood by Japanese citizens.
I love travel and have lived extensively overseas; helping others make the most of their time abroad is very invigorating for me.
Through coaching with an emphasis on applied language, it is my goal to make their trip overseas as enjoyable and productive as it can be!
