1988年のグラミーの
マイケルのパフォーマンス！
彼の数ある素晴らしいパフォーマンスの中でも
一種神気がかった特別なステージでした。
この年、マイケルのアルバム『BAD』は、最も売れたアルバムであり、
世界215ヵ国で売り上げナンバーワンとなり、
ビルボード史上初、アルバム内5曲が連続1位となりました。
ところが、
グラミー賞は、
最優秀録音賞のみという評価となり、
マイケルは、自伝の中でこの時のことを、
「仲間に無視されたと感じた」
