Two great shows today at Club Citta. Both sold out! Thanks to everybody who came today. Thanks so much also to Marichan and Mayuchan! And this news just in… we’ll be back at Citta on August 18th! Yay!

A big “THANK YOU!” to everybody going to our show at Club Citta next Sunday. We are sold out! Hopefully, we’ll do it again for those who couldn’t get tickets! This is a picture we took after today’s rehearsal. It was really fun!

I went to a park today to play my guitar and a nice girl came by with her mom and she made letters with sticks for me. It was lots of fun.
今日はぶらっと公園に行って、ギターを弾きました。そうしたら、５才ぐらいの女の子が木の枝で X Y Z を作ってくれました。
I was barbecuing outside when this little guy came by. I said “Hi Toad!” And he said nothing back to me, but my point is, in English, it is not a frog, it is a toad. In Japanese, toads and frogs are both かえる (kaeru) , but in English these guys are toads, and frogs are the green guys who live near water.
庭でBBQをしていたら、カエルちゃんがたずねてきました。”Hi toad!” とあいさつしましたけど、何も返事がなかった。とにかく、”Hi frog!” じゃなくて、”Hi toad!” でした。そう、日本語だと、水の近くにすんでいるカエルも僕の縁側あたりにあらわれる雑司が谷のカエルも「カエル」というんだけど、英語だとこいつは思いっきり”Toad” です！
(ま、ガマガエルとかヒキガエルとかいろいろいるんだけど、普通の日常会話では全部カエルと言うんだよね？）
