and I could see them just by the river and around the children's schools.
数日前、桜があちこちで満開を迎えていたようですね。
私も、川べりや子どもの学校などでその姿を見ました。

It was really beautiful, and their pale colours and sensitivity I feel are the heart of Japanese people. Not vivid or appealing are they, but do have a kind of reserved and modest styles.
きれいなのは勿論なのですが、桜の淡い色合いや繊細さは日本人の心（？）のようなものを
映しているなあと感じます。
派手だったり主張するわけではなくて、控えめで慎ましやかな佇まいで居るなと・・・
With the climate getting mild (towards the summer), I am looking forward to seeing various flowers like rose, tulip, and hydrangea.
気候が温暖になるこれから（夏に向けて）、花シーズンなので
薔薇やチューリップ、あじさいなども楽しみになります。
