今日はバレンタインデーですね。 何だかちょっとワクワクしますね。
I have made a chocolate cake on the weekend, with my kids... a simple French-style gateau.

In the kitchen shelf of my house there is a quite amount of the confectionery tools and goods, that I collected to make sweets as hobby, and some of them were actually
brought from England at the time.
家のキッチン棚には、私が時々の趣味・お菓子作りに集めた製菓道具が色々あって
当時イギリスから持ち帰ったものもあります。
（＊勉強の合間にリフレッシュに作ったりしていた）
In Japan normally, women give chocolates to men, but in the US or UK and other countries they often send the gifts each other.
日本では通常女性から男性へチョコレートを贈りますが、アメリカやイギリス・他の国々では男性も女性も互いにギフトを贈り合います。
And that occasion, a gift is not necessarily the chocolate or sweets but anything such as
flowers, tie, music CD etc.
しかもその場合、プレゼントはチョコやお菓子である必要はなくてお花や、ネクタイ
音楽CDなど様々なんです。
Besides, so-called White Day is only of Japan, which I think is unique and interesting.
そして、ホワイトデーというのも“日本独自”のもので。おもしろいなと思います。
（海外には3月のホワイトデーが無いから、バレンタインにお互い送り合うのですね～）
