We have several chinese video shops in Sydney.

They all sell DVDs of Japanese drama in Chinese subtitle.

I sometimes go there and buy Japanese drama. One full set

of drama usually costs about $20-$30,

With my friend's recomendation I bought

"1 rittoru no namida,"1 Liter of tears in direct

translation into English.

The drama was based on a true story of one

Japense girl, who had suffered from an illness of the

cerebellum from 15 to 25 years old.

The role of the cerebellum is to keep balance of our body

movements. Her sickness is a diminution of her cerebellum.

Beacause of that, she gradually finds disorders in her fine

movements, equilibrium, posture, and etc.

This drama told me the importance of life and

to live each day fully.

In the drama, she is questining what is a purpose of

her life.

With sickness or without sickness, I guess we all come

to this question one or many times in our lives.

Whoever can find the answer are the lucky ones that

can live their lives fully.

In the drama, she says many times "I want to be

useful to other people." This has touched my heart

deeply....
