A blog with our dogs.

~June (Makuhari Housing park)

◆Chiba

Getting the information about the event held in Chiba, we headed Makuhari Housing Park. What's the park for? It's a kind of place showing brand-new house model. It just looks like a new town.

But our aim wasn't houses (we already have and don't think about moving to new one.) An event for dogs were held there. It has a long distance between our home and Chiba.

Miffy (Nijintje) is loved in Japan, too.

The event was so small; we could see some tents and not so large numbers of dogs were there.

We could have some large hamburgers

Then Mom got a message from one of our Pom friends that we'd like to meet. They said they'd visit the park.

The Mashiro family that sent Mom a messeage had had a puppy in this spring. And we have wanted to meet them while the puppy is small.

THE MASHIRO FAMILY

Mashiro:

The first pom of the family. Her name means "pure white" in Japanese.

Komugi:

The second pom of the family. Mashiro's daughter. Her name means "wheat" in Japanese

Chikuwa:

The third pom of the family. Komugi's son.

The name "Chikuwa" is a kind of Japanese food made from fish.

Soon poms in the park gathered. We took some pictures.

Arter the event we went to the restaurant with Mashiro family. They took us a great Italian restaurant and had a good time having dinner.

Looking back to Chikuwa. You can find that he looks like a monkey. We call the phenomenon "Saru-ki (Monkey term)" in Japanese, it's so caled "Puppy ugly" in English.

"Puppy Ugly" is known to pom owners that puppies arouond 3 to 5 months have such faces replacing their hair on  face to new adult one. Only pomeranian has such term to have puppy ugly.

We're lucky to see Chikuwa in puppy ugly. Maybe next time we see him. He won't be in puppy ugly■
