~June (The Hydrangea Festival)

◆Kaisei, Kanagawa

June is the peak season of hydrangeas in Japan. It's just in the rainy season and we have humid days. We call the season, "tsuyu". It goes on for about 6 or 7 weeks every year.

Kaisei town, about 40km west from my home held a festival every year in tsuyu season. It's called "Hydrangea Festival".

We took part in the festival on its first day. It was so hot and sky was clear. There has huge rice fields and the flowers of hydrangea were in full bloom along the field.

We came across one of our pom friends, Mukku family when we were sitting on the bench under the tree. We and Mukku family often come across at the place far from our home (Our home isn't far from Nukku's.)

Having lunch, walking along the hydrangeas, we had a great time. After leaving Mukku's, we went to a bakery in Kaisei.

On a fine day we enjoyed driving and flowers of hydrangea■
