仕事で英語を使う人なら、メールに資料を添付する際に
Attached is (are)～
という表現を使うことが多いと思います。
Attached is the file you requested.
みたいな感じで。
でも、ときどき
The attached is the file you requested.
と最初にTheを付けているのを見ます。
この表現は
The file you requested is attached.
の倒置表現なので、attachedの前にtheを付けてはいけない。
また、fileが複数の場合は、
Attached are the files you requested.
となり、be動詞が複数形になる。
それは当然、
The files you requested are attached.
の倒置法だから。
これはThere is ～またはThere are ～が倒置法であることと同じで、だから～の部分が単数形か複数形かでbe動詞が変わる。
