Top of the morning to you!

I really don't want it to rain today! Tokyo is getting cold!

Glad that today is a holiday. I don't have any plans though. I think I will watch a movie. I am watching a movie called Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey. I found it at the video store for 100 yen. I saw this movie when I was a teen and I wanted to see it again and laugh. It it really goofy and is part 2 of Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure. Can you believe Keanu Reeves is in it!

Check it out:

Sometimes you feel like a nut

Hi everyone! I was just thinking about this commercial. "Sometimes you feel like a nut, and sometimes you don't! Almond Joy's got nuts, Mounds don't!"

This is chocolate and coconuts with or without almonds! Yummy! Sweet!! OOOOoooooh so good! Need to ask my mom to send me some of these babies!

English point: "Almond Joy's got nuts" sometimes we use "'s got" for "has" and can be added to any word.

For example: "She's got it." = "She has it." Also "Mary's got it." = "Mary has it."

Watch and listen: "Sometimes you feel like a nut, and sometimes you don't! Almond Joy's got nuts, Mounds don't!"

Exclamation!!!

OK, here is one that needs a little help!

The first thing we should do, is add a space from "GOOD!SET" to "GOOD! SET"
Always put a space after punctuation!
Then, it would be much better if it said "GOOD SET!"

イブニン GOOD SET!

Then it is right! Right? Right!!! Yeah!

Culture Shockers

When I first came to Japan, I was shocked at how close people stood next to me.

I remember I was sitting on the train just after arriving at Narita airport. I was sitting down, and there came in a few young woman. They stood right in front of me, basically in front of my face about 1 foot (30cm) away. My eyes were meeting their midsection and I thought it was so strange, and way too close. I checked to make sure that when they laughed while talking, it was not at me.

In America, we never get that close in a public place. I have become used to it now in Japan though.

BUT, the strange thing is that in my culture, we like to hug! So now, when I see my friends I feel strange when they hug me because I am now "Japanized."

So, here it is, a song for you. Turning Japanese from the Vapors. A classic song from the 80s. GET READY FOR CULTURE SHOCK!!!! I love Japan. Nihonjin narimashishou!
