To the previous president of Eggs 'n Things, Oginon.ホットケーキナイフとフォーク

"We greatly appreciate Oginon's warm hospitality, help & support since Tully's コーヒー"

As I wrote in "Hospitality," Ogino-san, who many staff members of Eggs 'n Things call "Shinobu san," resigned as the president at the end of last month. He had been helping and supporting my hon since Tully's Coffee.コーヒー A lot of Ohana say he is a nice person though some of them also say he can't speak up, ummm, they mean, he can't go against the owner, haha.

But, you know what? I think he's great and cool. Well, once his nephew was working part-time at Eggs 'n Things Harajuku, the very 1st location of Eggs 'n Things opened in Japan. Some Ohana there wanted him to become a full-time employee there, but Oginon didn't allow his nephew to do so since they're relatives. Some of you understand why, though I won't explain it. Isn't he nice?

Well, his nephew has been to Australia on a working holiday visa before, so he speaks English. I heard him speaking English. He told me before in Japanese that he was living in the countryside and he hadn't been to Sydney or bills restaurants either while he was staying in Australia. You know, I'm a big fan of Hugh Jackman's, and thanks to him, I came to know Bills, which was born in Australia and is famous for their ricotta pancakes. I've had their ricotta pancakes at a bills restaurant in Ginza, Tokyo. Hugh Jackman first went there last year, and that made me go there, haha.

I've asked Oginon's nephew about "flat white", too. You know, Hugh Jackman is from Australia, and flat white is popular in Australia. He owns a cafe in N.Y, America, and it's said the cafe's popular item is flat white produced by him.

Anyway, I hear Oginon, Shinobu-san, left Eggs 'n Things because he was going to start a new company or something. Well, I'm not sure if I could mention it or not, and I hope Oginon doesn't mind. Actually, I've just checked some interviews online of Ogino-san, or Shinobu-san, and I told my hon. He got these interviews while he was the president. One of them says he and my hon, the founder of Tully's Coffee in Japan, were working hard togther to open Tully's Coffee shops in Asian countries, I mean, not only in Japan.

Eggs 'n Things is very famous in Japan especially for their pancakes served with generous whipped cream, but their brand concept is "All Day Breakfast," which is not familiar to Japanese people.

On the other hand, they're trying to make customers have dinner at Eggs 'n Things. Their alcohol beverages are only available from 5 p.m. every day.

Those are "Kaoru, Uji Matcha Pancakes," which are originally Kyoto's exclusive pancakes and are being offered right now at all locations in Japan for a limited time.

They'll be served till April 26, so today is the last day.!! Just try them out while they're available.

After that, Eggs 'n Things in Japan offers "Quintuple Berry Pancakes,"starting on April 27. They'll last till May 15. They are golden week special pancakes.

Also, Eggs 'n Things Kyoto is doing "Houjicha Latte Pancakes" to celebrate its 4th anniversary from May 7 till May 31. Though I had Houjicha Latte Pancakes last year at Eggs 'n Things Odaiba, which is located in Tokyo, both seem to be different from each other. Kyoto's ones also look yummy.

You know what? I first tried "Kaoru, Uji Matcha Pancakes" at Eggs 'n Things Kyoto a few months ago. They started in February last year there, and I've had them three times in Kanto region.

The Firtst time in Kanto region.

The second time.

And the third time.

On top of that, Eggs 'n Things is offering "Aurora Sauce Eggs Benedicts" until April 26.

Their grand menu offers eggs benedicts and two of them are "Spinach and Bacon" and "Avocado and Basil Shrimp." This time, these two are being covered with pink aurora sauce, which stands for a spring color, you know.

White wine goes well.白ワインI like red wine too, though.赤ワイン

By the way, Chopped Salad Days marked its 1st anniversary yesterday. It opened on April 24 last year in Futakotamagawa, Tokyo. Congratulations.クラッカー

Well, I'm looking forward to having burritos at Chopped Salad Days again. I do hope they open new locations in Tokyo so more people can come by.

Actually, I started Instagram the other day, though I haven't posted any photos yet. Chopped Salad Days has its official account on facebook as well as on Instagram, but they rarely update its facebook page while they add lots of photos to its Instagram page, choppedsd. I wanna check my favorite brands' latest releases and photos including theirs, and that's one of the reasons I started Instagram. You can check their photos without any Instagram accounts, just in case, but you need to have one and follow people to see their favorites, or so-called Likes, you know. My account is this: chiemi0310eggsntullys.

Though I don't check it very often, I really enjoy seeing videos and photos of Eggs 'n Things Hawaii and Japan. Also, it's really fun to check the japan times news and videos. And ... well, to be honest, another big reason I started Instagram is that I wanted to "like" Hugh Jackman's posts which he had added while staying in Japan this year and last year. He came to Japan last year to promote his new movie then, and this year again since "the Greatest Showman" was going to release here.

Gee, I said last month I'd update my Japanese blog maybe during the following month, but I don't think I can make it this month. Sorry. But I'll update it again sometime.

Well, thank Oginon again for everything he's done for us and my hon.
