The word has seen increasing usage due to the ongoing crises in the UK. And after brexit, a pandemic, a dead queen, about 4-5 prime ministers including numerous scandals, and numerous strikes due to an ongoing cost-of-living crisis I can see why the word is becoming popular again ... ![]()
Collins Dictionary said, "it sums up quite succinctly just how truly awful 2022 has been for so many people".
