Hello everybody! Welcome back to e.Front’s English Corner. This week we’re definitely not flying by the seat of our pants as we have everything set up and ready to go! Yes, this week we’re looking at the word fly. Fly of course means to move through the air. So we can fly to and fly from places and we can fly over them too. Read on to see what else will fly!
This issue’s word: Fly
1 “Hey Alex, you’re flying low!”
2 “My mother-in-law flew into a rage when her husband forgot her birthday.”
3 “I think I’ll be both happy and sad when my kids eventually fly the nest.”
4 A: “Why don’t you buy a lottery ticket? You might win.”
B: “Huh, and pigs might fly.”
5 “I’d love to be a fly on the wall in the Nissan boardroom right now!”
Well, I’ve got to fly, so that’s it for this issue! Did you enjoy it? I hope you can catch up with us again next issue! See you next time!
