ホセア書２章
１）あなたがたの兄弟には、「わたしの民と言い、あなたがたの姉妹には、「愛されない者」と言え。
２）「あなたがたの母（イスラエル）をとがめよ。とがめよ。彼女はわたしの妻ではなく、私は彼女の夫ではないからだ。彼女の顔から姦淫を取り除き、その乳房の間から姦通を取り除け。
３）そうでなければ、わたしは、彼女の着物をはいで裸にし、生まれた日のようにして彼女をさらし、彼女を荒野のようにし、砂漠のようにし、渇きで彼女を死なせよう。
４）わたしは彼女の子らを愛さない。彼らは姦淫の子らであるから。
５）彼らの母は姦淫をし、彼らをはらんで恥をさらし、そして言った。「私は恋人たちのあとを追う。彼らは私にパンと水、羊毛と麻、油と飲み物を与えてくれる。』と。
６）それゆえ、わたしは、いばらで彼女の道に垣を立て、彼女が通い路を見いださないように、石垣を立てよう。
７）彼女は恋人たちのあとを追って行こう。しかし、彼らに追いつくことはない。彼らを捜し求めよう。しかし、見つけ出すことはない。彼女は言う。『私（イスラエル）は行って、初めの夫（神）に戻ろう。あの時は、今よりも私はしあわせだったから。』
８）彼女に穀物と新しいぶどう酒と油とを与えた者、また、バアルのために使った銀と金とを多く与えた者が、わたしであるのを、彼女は知らなかった。
９）それゆえ、わたしは、その（終わりの）時になって、わたしの穀物を、その季節※1になって、わたしの新しいぶどう酒を取り戻し、また、彼女の裸をおおうためのわたしの羊毛と麻とをはぎとろう。
彼女(イスラエル）ではなくわたし（神）に属する穀物と新しいぶどう酒、そして羊毛と麻が彼女から剥ぎ取られる。

1)兄弟たち。それがいつなのか、またどういうときかについては、あなたがたは私たちに書いてもらう必要がありません。
２）主の日が夜中の盗人のように来るということは、あなたがた自身がよく承知しているからです。
３）人々が「平和だ。安全だ。」と言っているそのようなときに、突如として滅びガ彼らに襲いかかります。ちょうど妊婦に産みの苦しみが臨むようなもので、それをのがれることは決してできません。
10）今、わたしは彼女の恥を、恋人たちの前にあばく。だれも彼女をわたしの手から救い出せる者はない。
11）わたしは彼女のすべての喜び、祭り、新月の祭り、安息日、すべての例祭を、やめさせる。※2

わたしは、ユダの町々とエルサレムのちまたから、楽しみの声と喜びの声、花婿の声と花嫁の声を絶やす。この国は廃墟となるからである。
12）それから、わたしは彼女が『これらは私の恋人たちが払ってくれた報酬。』と言っていた（神のではなく）彼女のぶどうの木と、いちじくの木をあれすたらせ、これを林にして、野の獣にこれを食べさせる。※3
13）わたしは、彼女がバアルに香をたき、耳輪や飾りを身につけて、恋人たちを慕って行き、わたしを忘れてバアルに仕えた日々に報いる。―主の御告げ。―

８）若い時の夫のために、荒布をまとったおとめのように、泣き悲しめ。
９）穀物のささげものと注ぎのぶどう酒は主の宮から断たれ、主に仕える祭司たちは喪に服する。
エレミヤ書７章
17）彼らがユダの町々や、エルサレムのちまたで何をしているのか、あなたは見ていないのか。
18）子どもたちはたきぎを集め、父たちは火をたき、女たちは麦粉をこねて『天の女王』のための備えのパン菓子を作り、わたしの怒りを引き起こすために、ほかの神々に注ぎのぶどう酒を注いでいる。
19）彼らはわたしの怒りを引き起こすのか。―主の御告げ。―自分たちを怒らせ、自分たちの赤恥をさらすためではないか。
14）それゆえ、見よ、わたしは彼女（散らされたイスラエル）をくどいて荒野に連れて行き、優しく彼女に語ろう。※4

33）わたしは生きている、―神である主の御告げ。―わたしは憤りを注ぎ、力強い手と伸ばした腕をもって、必ずあなたがたを治める。
34）わたしは、力強い手と伸ばした腕、注ぎ出る憤りをもって、あなたがたを国々の民の中から連れ出し、その散らされている国々からあなたがたを集める。
35）わたしはあなたがたを国々の民の荒野に連れて行き、そこで、顔と顔とを合わせて、あなたがたをさばく。
36）わたしがあなたがたの先祖をエジプトの地の荒野でさばいたように、あなたがたをさばく。―神である主の御告げ。―
37）わたしはまた、あなたがたにむちの下を通らせ、あなたがたと（とこしえの）契約を結び、
38）あなたがたのうちから、わたしにそむく反逆者を、えり分ける（マタイ25章32、33節）。わたしは彼らをその寄留している地から連れ出すが、彼らはイスラエルの地に入ることはできない。※5このとき、あなたがたは、わたしが主であることを知ろう。
※5)エゼキエル書13章９節
わたしは、むなしい幻を見、まやかしの占いをしている預言者どもに手を下す。彼らはわたしの民の交わりに加えられず、イスラエルの地にも入ることができない。このとき、あなたがたは、わたしが神、主であることを知ろう。
15）わたしはその所を（神に立ち返ったイスラエル）彼女のためにぶどう畑にし、アコルの谷を望みの門としよう。彼女が若かった日のように、彼女がエジプトの国から上ってきたときのように、彼女はその所で答えよう。

17）わたしはバアルたちの名を彼女の口から取り除く。その名はもう覚えられることはない。
18）その日、わたしは彼らのために、野の獣、空の鳥、地をはうものと契約を結び、弓と剣と戦いを地から絶やし、彼らを安らかに休ませる。
19）わたしはあなた（神に立ち返ったイスラエル）と永遠の契りを結ぶ。正義と公義と、恵みとあわれみをもって、契りを結ぶ。
20）わたしは真実をもってあなたと契りを結ぶ。このとき、あなたは主を知ろう。
21）その日、わたしは答える。―主の御告げ。― 私は天に答え、天は地に答える。
22）地は穀物と新しいぶどう酒と油とに答え、それらはイズレイルに答える。
23）わたしは彼(女）をわたしのために地にまき散らし、『愛されない者』を愛し、『わたしの民でない者』を、『あなたはわたしの民』と言う。彼は『あなたはわたしの神』と言おう。
Hosea 2 (HNV)
1)Say to your brothers, 'My people!' And to your sisters, 'My loved one!'
2)Contend with your mother! Contend, for she is not my wife, Neither am I her husband; And let her put away her prostitution from her face, And her adulteries from between her breasts;
3)Lest I strip her naked, And make her bare as in the day that she was born, And make her like a wildrness, And set her like a dry land, And kill her with thist.
4)Indeed, on her children I will have no mercy; For they are children of unfaithfulness;
5)For their mother has played the prostitute. She who conceived them has done shamefully; For she said, 'I will go after lovers, Who give me my bread and my water, My wool and my flax, My oil and my drink.'
6)Therefore, behold, I will hedge up your way with thorns, And I will build a wall against her, That she can't find her way.
7)She will follow after lovers, But she won't overtake them; And she will seek them, But won't find them. Then she will say, 'I (Israel) will go and return to my first husband (God); For yhen was it better with me than now.'
8)For she did not know that I gave her the grain, the new wine, and the oil, And multiplied to her silver and gold, whuch they used for Ba'al.
9)Therefore I will take back my grain in its time (of the end), And my new wine in its season ※, And will pluck away my wool and my flax which should have covered her nakedness.Grain and new wine, wool and linen, which belong to me (God) and not to her (Israel), will be stripped from her.

But concerning the time and the seasons , brothers, you have no need that anything be written to you.
2)For you yourselves know well that the day of the Lord comes like a thief in the night.
3)For when they are saying, "Shalom and safety," then sudden destruction will come on them, like birth pains on a pregnant woman; and they will in no way escape.
10)Now I will uncover her lewdness in the sight of her lovers, And no one will deliver her out of my hand.
11)I will also cause all her celebrations to cease: Her feasts, her new moons, her shabbatot, and all her solemn assemblies.※2

Then will I cause to cease from the cities of Yehudah, and from the streets of Yerushalayim, the voice of mirth and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride; for the land shall become a waste.
12)I will lay waste (not God's but) her vines and her fig trees, About which she has said, 'These are my wages that my lovers have given me; And I will make them a forest, 'And the animals of the field shall eat them.※3
13)I will visit on her the days of the days of the Ba'alim, To which she burned incense, When she decked herself with her earrings and her jewels, And went after her lovers, And forgot me, "says the LORD.

8)Mourn like a virgin dressed in sackloth for the husband of her youth!
9)The meal offering and the drink offering are cut off from the LORD's house. The Kohanim, the LORD's ministers, mourn.
Jeremiah 7
17)Don't you see what they do in the cities of Yehudah and in the streets of Yerushalayim?
18)The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead the dough, to make cakes to the qween of the sky, and to pour out drink-offerings to other gods, that they may provoke me to anger.
19)Do they provoke me to anger? says the LORD; do they not provoke themselves, to the confusion of their own faces?
14)"Therefore, behold, I will allure her (Scattered Israel), And bring her into the wildnerness, And speak tenderly to her.※4

33)As I live, says the Lord GOD, surely with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with wrath poured out, will I be king over you:
34)And I will bring you out from the peoples, and will gather you out of the coutries in which you are scattered, with a mighty hand, and with an outstreched arm, and with wrath poured out;
35)And I will bring you into the wilderness of the peoples, and there will I enter into judgment with you face to face.
36)Like as I entered into judgment with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Mitzrayim, so will I enter into judgment with you, says the LordGOD.
37)I will cause you to pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant;
38)And I will purge out from among you the rebels(Matthew 25:32,33) and those who disobey against me; I will bring them forth out of the land where they sojourn, but they shall not enter into Eretz-Yisra'el※5: and you shall know that I am the LORD.

My hand shall be against the prophets who see false visions, and who divine lies: they shall not be in the council of my people, neither shall they be written in the writing of the house of Yisra'el, neither shall they enter into Eretz-Yisra'el; and you shall know that I am the Lord GOD.
15)I will give her (Israel whom returned to God) vineyards from there, And the valley of 'Aknor for a door of hope; And she will respond there, As in the days of her youth, And as in the day when she came up out of the land of Mitzrayim.
16)It will be in that day,"says the LORD, "That you will call me 'my husband,' And no longer call me 'my master.'
17)For I will take away the names of the Ba'alim out of her mouth, And they will no more be mentioned by their name.
18)In that day I will make a covenant for them with the animals of the field, And with the birds of the sky, And with the creeping things of the ground. I will break the bow, the sword, and the battle out of the land, And will make them lie down safely.
19)I will betroth you to me forever. Yes, I will betroth you to me in righteousness, in justice, in lovingkindness, and in compassion.
20)I will even betroth you (Israel whom returned to God) to me in faithfulness; And you shall know the LORD.
21)It will happen in that day, I will respond," says the LORD, I will respond to the heavens, And they will respond to the eretz;
22)And the eretz will respond to the grain, and the new wine, and the oil; And they will respond to Yizre'el.
23)I will sow her to me in the eretz, And I will have mercy on her who had not obtained mercy; And I will tell those who were not my people, 'You are my people,' And they will say, 'My God!
