６：５）死にあっては、あなたを覚えることはありません。よみにあっては、だれが、あなたをほめたたえるでしょう。
30：９）私が墓に下っても、私の血に何の益があるのでしょうか。ちりが、あなたを、ほめたたえるでしょうか。あなたのまことを、告げるでしょうか。
88：10）あなたは死人のために奇しいわざを行なわれるでしょうか。亡霊が起き上がって、あなたをほめたたえるでしょうか。セラ
11）あなたの恵みが墓の中で宣べられましょうか、あなたの真実が滅びの中で。
12）あなたの奇しいわざが、やみの中で知られるでしょうか、あなたの義が忘却の地で。
115：17）死人は主をほめたたえることがない。沈黙へ下る者もそうだ。
伝道者の書９章10節
あなたの手もとにあるなすべきことはみな、自分の力でしなさい。あなたが行こうとしているよみには、働きも企ても知識も知恵もないからだ。
イザヤ書38章
17）ああ、私の苦しんだ苦しみは平安のためでした。あなたは、滅びの穴から、私のたましいを引き戻されました。あなたは私のすべての罪を、あなたのうしろに投げやられました。
18）よみはあなたをほめたたえず、死はあなたを賛美せず、穴に下る者たちは、あなたのまことを待ち望みません。
19）生きている者、ただ生きている者だけが、今日の私のように、あなたをほめたたえるのです。
父は子らにあなたのまことについて知らせます。

30:9)What profit is there in my blood, when I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise thee? shall it declare thy truth?
88:10)Wilt thou show wonders to the dead? shall the dead arise and praise thee? Selah.
11）Shall thy loving kindness be declared in the grave? or thy faithfulness in destruction?

Ecclesiastes 9:10
Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.
Isaiah 38
17)Behold, for peace I had great bitterness: but thou hast in love to my soul delivered it from the pit of corrusption: for thow hast cast all my sins behind thy back.
18)For the grave cannot praise thee, death can not celebrate thee: they that down into the pit cannot hope for thy truth.
19)The living, the living, he shall praise thee, as I do this day: the father to the children shall make known thy truth.
