【日本人のコミュニケーションによる関係構築】

・Japanese culture values respect, politeness, and harmony.

・People try to avoid conflict and build long-term relationships.

・Japanese people usually build trust little by little rather than becoming close quickly.

・People often build relationships by having meals together or joining events.

・Building trust is an important part of Japanese culture.

【コミュニケーションの中にある曖昧さ】

・Japanese value respect and politeness when communicating.

・People adjust their words and expressions depending on age and relationships(This is called Keigo).

・In addtion, Japanese sometimes use ambiguous expressions to avoid unnecessary friction and to be polite.

・We need to read between the lines and understand the context.

・Kyoto people say, "You're wearing a nice watch," which actually means, "Please check your watch. It's time to go home."

・When they say, "You have a cheerful child," it may actually mean that the child is noisy.

・This indirect style reflects Japanese culture, which values harmony and consideration for others.

【派生編】

タイ人とのビジネスコミュニケーション

・Thai people are generally open-minded and friendly.

・They tend to avoid direct communication and can sometimes be ambiguous.

・In private situations, this is usually not a problem.

・However, in business situations, it is important to communicate clearly and ask questions rather than pretend to understand.

【日本語】

・Hiragana, Katakana, and Kanji are the three writing systems

・We use Kanji, which originated in China.

・Hiragana and Katakana were derived from Kanji.

・Hiragana and Katakana each have 46 basic characters.

・When we were elementary school students, we learned Hiragana and Katakana.

・Because Kanji originated from China, Japanese people can sometimes guess the meaning of simple Chinese characters even if they cannot read Chinese.

【日本人と英語、キャリア】

・In Japan, the link between English ability and career opportunities is very strong.

・Studying abroad and gaining strong English skills can be a significant advantage in the Japanese job market.

・This is one of the reasons why studying abroad is seen as a valuable path for many Japanese students.

・People who take advantage of this gap can greatly increase their career value.

・In junior high school, students start learning English, but only a few people can speak it fluently.

・I think if we could speak English fluently like native speakers, it would bring good opportunities for their careers.

・Especially, only a few Japanese people can do this, so we need to recognize this gap in our skills.

・English education is strong, but speaking practice is often limited, so many learners feel there is a gap.

・In global business communication, it's very important to understand what people value and to respect cultural differences.

・Knowing these differences helps us communicate more effectively, avoid misunderstandings, and build stronger relationships with clients and colleagues from different countries.

【日本料理とタイ料理の違い】

・Thai cuisine has strong flavors such as sweetness, sourness, and spiciness.

・Japanese food is more balanced and delicate.

・Since I am used to Japanese flavors, I need to adapt to Thai cuisine as quickly as possible.

【米】

・Rice is a staple food in both Japan and Thailand.

・Japanese rice is stickier.

【日本の食文化の特徴】

・Japanese people value fresh ingredients, presentation, and harmony in taste.

・This unique food culture reflects the diversity of Japanese cuisine and also mirrors Japanese values, such as attention to detail for craftsmanship

・This is connected with the overall culture because Japanese society respects nature, detail, and craftsmanship.

【外食と自炊】

・I generally prefer eating at restaurants rather than having home-cooked meals because I can enjoy professional food and the atmosphere.

・However, dining out in Thailand is more expensive than I expected, so I try to cook for myself.

次郎ラーメン

・My personal favorite is Jiro-ramen, which is known for its addictive nature.

・Jiro-ramen is extremely heavy, and famous for its unique topping-call culture

・Customers verbally request extra vegetables, pork fat, garlic, or sauce.

・And the portions are so huge, and people often eat with intensity.

・At Jiro-ramen, customers feel a unique kind of pressure.

・One is the tension of making the topping call correctly at the right moment.

・The other is whether they can finish the enormous portion.

・This unique food culture reflects the diversity of Japanese cuisine, and continues to fascinate both Japanese people and diners around the world.

コメの価格:

・Japanese government has implemented a policy to reduce rice production in order to balance supply and demand for four decades.

・But sometimes it cannot fully balance due to abnormal weather conditions or other factors, as was the case last year.

・The average price of rice remained high, more than double that of the previous year

国土:

・Japan is the 61st largest country by land area and stretches a long from north to south.

・Japan consists of four main islands

・Each region has its own distinct culture and history.

北海道

・Hokkaido is home to the native people called Ainu.

・The distance between Russia and Japan is about 40 km at the closest point.

東北:

・Tohoku is a region located in the northern part of Japan's main island.

・It was affected by the tsunami by the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011.

・However, the area has made significant progress in its recovery.

・I could see how much progress has been made in rebuilding it.

大阪/京都

・Osaka is known as a commercial hub with a strong business-oriented culture.

・Kyoto is famous for its traditional culture and historical places.

・I’d recommend visiting Kyoto. It’s a traditional city with many temples and shrines.

・Visitors can experience Japanese culture, history, and nature all in one place.

九州

・Kyushu is located in the southwestern part of Japan.

・It plays an important role in Japan’s semiconductor industry.

・In the past, the semiconductor industry thrived in Kyushu.

・But the number of semiconductor companies has declined/has gone down/has decreased.

・Some of the companies transferred to China or Taiwan due to the cost of labor.

・But due to geopolitical risk, the Japan government is promoting domestic production of semiconductors

・Kyushu is attracting investment from a foreign companies.

・For instance, TMC, a global semiconductor company built a factory in Kyushu.

長崎

・Nagasaki has a unique history and heritage shaped by Western culture

・It was the only Japanese city open to trade with Western countries and China.

・After Christianity was banned in Japan, these believers practiced their faith in secret for centuries.

・Because Christianity was banned, the Hidden Christians in Nagasaki and Amakusa practiced their faith in secret.

・They lived as Buddhists in public, and this continued for over 250 years until they met missionaries again in 1865.

・The first words they said to the missionaries were, “We are of the same heart as you.

沖縄:

・Okinawa is located in the southern part of Japan

・Okinawa has a unique cultural heritage shaped by the Ryukyu Kingdom

周辺国とその関係性:

・Japan is located in East Asia and is surrounded by countries such as China, Korea, and Taiwan.

・Japanese culture has been influenced by these countries.

・For example, we use Kanji, which originated from China.

・Recently, K-pop and Korean TV dramas have also become popular among Japanese people.

・Although Japan and Taiwan do not have official diplomatic relations, many Japanese people feel a sense of closeness to Taiwan.

・Recently, TSMC, a Taiwanese semiconductor company, built a factory in Japan.

・People travel between the two countries not only for tourism but also for business.

・There is active exchange between the two countries in various fields

気候:

・The climate in Japan is generally temperate, with four distinct seasons.

・We have a mild spring, hot and humid summers with frequent typhoons, and cold winters.

・Due to global warming, spring and autumn have become shorter.

■ Thailand Growth Outlook

  • My role and daily responsibilities

  • Challenges in the industry

家庭・生活

  • How I balance work and family

  • My weekend habits

考え・意見

  • How I manage stress and time
