This is a famous cake shop in Ebetsu. My wife, who is picky about sweets, also highly praises it. At this time of year, when I see the beautiful red decorations, I can't help but want to take photos.

２月23日も４月８日（旧暦）もいつもとそう変わらない日常を過ごすというのに、日本人はどうして12月24日になると街中が大賑わいなんだろう。そんなことを言っておきながら我が家も25日の晩にはピザとケーキを買ってきて、お酒でも飲みながらささやかな祝杯をあげる予定でいる。北国の12月は雪で閉ざされて家にこもりがちなので、たまにこういうイベントがないと寒さで気が滅入ってしまいそうになる。初老の夫婦二人なのでパーティーみたいな盛り上がりは望むべくもないが、まあ、ほろ酔いでテレビでも観ながらまったりしよう。すべての善良な人々に、ハッピークリスマスを。
