i never thought about minimal, minimum or simple settings in dwelling before but recently, i guess it's probably because of the itsy-bitsy-teeny-weeny apartment in cosmopolis, i am shifting toward the concept. well, we have already brought too much stuff here.....
this is an ordinary boxed tissues you can get anywhere but there's one thing that i have been concerned about. that is the number of units in the box. it used to be 400 (200 unit of 2-ply tissue) up until like last year. but now the unit is reduced to 160. i am sure that crude oil price fluctioations are causing this but..... given this fact, sale price does not seem discounted at all..... besides, it seems so fast that box becomes empty.
this is a pack of rice got from shh-san the other day. it says, "koshihikari made in ibaraki prefecture." but the point is above the brand name. it says, "professional specification." rice for pros??
this is philips senseo coffee machine
, we got from tk-san and shh-san, as a housewarming gift!! it's got very unique design which i've never seen before; not like ordinary coffee makers. japanese web site has recently been launched, so the machine will be in the market pretty soon. thank you very much for wonderful gift as we love coffee and the color matches to our interiors!! we used to have philips coffee maker
but the beaker part had broken while we were packing stuff for moving.
as i wrote, i took a day off with my wife and visited shh-san, my wife's old friend couple. at first, we stopped by at a cake shop and bought some sweets as it was the doll festival, and then we went to the meeting spot by train where you can find those interesting pillar tops in pics. actually, it was pretty close even though we had to change train for two times. also, the weather was pretty nice yesterday.
black bmw x5 (correct??), driven by shh-san, came by to pick us up and headed, tk-san, for her house to pick her husband up. at the first glance of him, i was "wow, he's real!!"
fyr: both of them are tv talents, and i've seen my wife's old friend many times before but this was the first time to see him.
anway, there were so many luxurious houses and celebrities' houses in the neighbors (she told us which house was whose house). all the cars parked in front of houses were imports..., no domestic cars. i was like where i am??
then we went to yakiniku restaurant (i mean expensive, you know) nearby. everything was just delicious and never eaten before kinda meets but too bad i could not enjoy them as i was kind of nervous sitting right next to tk-san. i drank a glas of beer but could not relax..... well, i get nervous of course..., although i told my wife i would be nervous.....
this was the only pic i could take..... i was too afraid to take pics, hahaha......
撮影できた唯一の写真・・・。撮りたい気もありましたが気が引けてしまいました。
+++++++
after that, we headed back to their house to see newly born puppies. they were just adorable and sweetie-pies!!
食後は自宅に行きまして、生まれたばかりの子犬たちを拝見。もう、かわいいのなんのって!!
the lady in the pic is my wife.
移っているのは、うちの奥さんです。
after flirting with pups and watching tv for a while, we went to buy some groceries for dinner: shabu shabu. not to mention i was still nervous..... shabu shabu and other food were delicious!! the husband even arranged for after-shabu-shabu-noodle by adding some seasonings. that was good too!!
tk-san and shh-san, thank you so much for everything!! i could spend quite a nice time i have never spent before. i was nervous but that's good as i barely see people in my daily life. there were many shortcomings and you saw i was dense in many occasion but please forgive me. please keep it up in tv wold!! i watch tv!!!
i said spring was just around the corner. here is a pic of kitkat in which peach flavor. there are so many flavors, sometimes limited time offer, especially in japan. so no wonder why there are kitkat freaks.
