猫の後ろ姿 ２２８８ Simon & Garfunkel OLD FRIENDS

　ゴンチチさんのFM番組を２０年前に録音しておいて、聴いていなかったものを今聴いている。２０年前に聴いたとしても聴こえなかったであろうものが今は聴こえて来る。
　サイモンとガーファンクルの「Ｏｌｄ　Ｆｒｉｅｎｄｓ」という曲の歌詞を、今の僕はよく理解できる。

　　　　古い友人と公園のベンチに腰かけている。まるでブックエンドのように。　

　　　　枯葉が風に舞って降りかかり、町のざわめきの音が木々の間から聞こえて来る。

　　　　何年かして同じように静かにこのベンチを分け合えるだろうか。

　そして、歌詞の一番最後。
　　　　　　「７０歳であるということはなんという不思議な事であるか。」
　
　　今年の６月９日、僕は７０歳となる。
