ダンブッラ寺院 スリランカ

ダンブッラ石窟寺院総面積2,100m2に及ぶ広大な石窟群で、スリランカで最も保存状態が良いとされる仏教寺院

紀元前1世紀ワッタガーマニ・アパヤ王が南インドから侵略を逃れ、この地で身を隠したことから始まる。後に王座に返り咲き、感謝の証とし寺院を建立した。

内部に約150体の仏像が安置され、壁面と天井は色鮮やかな仏教画で埋め尽くされている。

Dambulla Cave Temple is a vast cave complex covering a total area of ​​2,100 m2 and is said to be the best-preserved Buddhist temple in Sri Lanka. It dates back to the 1st century BC, when King Vattagamani Appaya hid here, fleeing invasions from South India. He later returned to the throne and built the temple as a token of gratitude. Approximately 150 Buddha statues are enshrined inside, and the walls and ceilings are covered with vibrant Buddhist paintings.

猛気カサッパ1世の空中庭園シーギリヤロック・スリランカ

五世紀後半今から1,531〜1,549年前狂気の王カサッパ１世が父を殺害し、兄弟の復讐から逃げる為に築いた天空庭園高さ200mの巨大な岩山の頂上に華麗な宮殿を築いた。

その宮殿、シーギリヤロックを登る!登りも下りも過酷だがここに庭園を作らされた名もなき住民もかなりの過酷さと感じる！

猛気かそれとも美学なのか⁈

In the second half of the 5th century, between 1,531 and 1,549 years ago, the mad king Kasappa I murdered his father and built a magnificent palace atop a 200m-high rocky mountain to escape the revenge of his brothers.

We climbed Sigiriya Rock to find that palace! The climb and descent were tough, but the nameless residents who were forced to build the gardens here must have had an equally tough time!

シーギリヤロックを真正面に捉える絶景の特等席ビトランガラロック！1,000ルピーのチケットを手に45分のトレッキング　標高350mと侮るなかれ、ランチでThe Kitchen Restaurantで浴びたLIONビールジョッキ2杯が登りの足取りに心地よく重く響く、、、

頂上ではサルや犬たちが優雅に走り回る🐵　目の前には圧倒的な存在感を放つシーギリヤロック🪨この景色まさに唯一無二！

さて、体を整えてシーギリヤの頂上を目指すとしよう。

Bitrangala Rock offers a special seat for a spectacular view, capturing Sigiriya Rock head-on! With a 1,000 rupee ticket in hand, it's a 45-minute trek. Don't underestimate the 350m elevation, and the two LION beer mugs we had for lunch at The Kitchen Restaurant add a pleasantly heavy thump to our steps as we climb...

At the summit, monkeys and dogs run around gracefully 🐵. Sigiriya Rock looms before us with its overwhelming presence 🪨 - a view truly one of a kind!

Now, let's get ourselves in shape and head for the summit of Sigiriya.

木造の建物で独特な雰囲気の中スリランカカレーとお酒が楽しめる場所にsamが連れて行ってくれた！

ビュッフェスタイルで米はタイ米🌾

スリランカカレーの種類が豊富で中でもチキンカレーが絶品😋

スリランカでは飲食店でお酒を提供する所がほぼ無く、ここでLIONビールジョッキ2杯飲んだ後ビトランガラロックに登り⛰️あまりのしんどさに気絶しかけた件！🍻

Sam took me to a wooden building with a unique atmosphere where I could enjoy Sri Lankan curry and alcohol!

It was buffet-style and the rice was Thai. 🌾

They had a wide variety of Sri Lankan curries, and the chicken curry was outstanding. 😋

In Sri Lanka, there are almost no restaurants that serve alcohol, so after drinking two LION beers here, I climbed Bitrangala Rock. ⛰️ I nearly passed out from the exhaustion! 🍻

It was definitely Sam's plan...
