米ヘッジファンド大手シタデル、東京オフィスを閉鎖＝通信社
［香港 ８日 ロイター］ 米国のヘッジファンド大手シタデル・インベストメントは、年末までに東京オフィスを閉鎖するとともに、アジアのプリンシパル投資から撤退する方針。ダウ・ジョーンズやブルームバーグが８日、同社スポークスマンの話として伝えた。
それに伴い、香港で２５人、東京で１２人が削減される。アジアでの業務は香港から完全に移転するという。
シタデルの香港、東京、シカゴ本部のコメントは得られていない。 同社ウェブサイトによると、世界全体の従業員数は１２００人強。
投資家が先週ロイターに明らかにしたところによると、シタデルの運用資産は１カ月前時点で約１８０億ドル。１１月に資産の約１３％を失い、年初来のリターンはマイナス４７％となっている。
