Gardens certainly make me happy. They provide a living energy and encourage birds and butterflies to visit. God made the plants and the birds and it is his energy that is exuded from creation and provides nourishment to my soul.
The garden that Mika and I transplanted from her front garden, to my front garden are all growing strong. The cuttings that we took from our adventure to 'Sculptures by the Sea' have also settled and are growing, producing flowers or new growth. The hydrangeas have stopped flowering now, but are healthy and strong. The cuttings from Annette, of morning noon and night, are happy and producing new growth. Mika gave me cuttings of lavender which I put in the ground on Saturday, along with another purple ground cover. Hopefully they will take root, with some tender loving care. Within the rock wall I have planted african daises and they are performing well with a lovely display of purple flowers of variating shades.
Last Thursday, Mika and I drove to a nursery and I bought a giant green pot to disguise my septic tank, which is in front of the hydrangea garden. We needed extra help to transport it from the car to position. Maddis and his friend provided us with the muscle required for lifting. It is very heavy!! It looks fantastic as a feature in the front garden. All I need now is a beautifully established topiary tree, to plant in it. Mika and I are going looking for one today. It will be fun. Coffee and cake is also planned. That is exciting!!
