I went for a walk to the beach yesterday with my friend. We took off our shoes and carried them. The sand on the souls of my feel felt cool and soothing. As we walked, we chatted and at the same time, our eyes absorbed the view. Very satisfying and peaceful.
Milly, my little dog came as well. She loves the freedom to run; so full of energy. Up and back, stopping to sniff a new smell or play with another dog. She followed a bigger dog into the water, her tail wagging and her face looking as if it was smiling. Her happiness exudes a vibe that is transferred to everyone around and brings a smile to faces..mine especially!
The tide was low and the waves small, breaking close to the shore. The water was inviting; crystal clear, the sand and rocks easily seen through the shallows.
I said to Bronwyn "I have to put my feet in." I pulled up my trousers and we touched our toes in. It was cold, but not unpleasant. I wished I could put my whole body in, even though I knew it would make me scream!
Happiness for me comes from very simple pleasures. Money can't buy happiness. It is a gift from God and I appreciate the blessing that it is upon my soul.
