A comedy pair “Tea-to-yard” and “Sing-pay” in Kumamoto ran a popular radio program, in which they read some posts of listener’s mysterious and sometimes funny episodes, then, visited the sites of the episodes themselves, to report what happened to them there. The title of the program was “Flying high, Kumamoto,” and its catch phrase was “Love our urban legends.”

“I can’ run away from him any more.”
The man, who looked agelessly exhausted, signed with so distorted glance to me.
”What do you say? You say that this strange guy always runs after you, don't you? You are only joking, or simply too tired.”
They were just in front of one branch of the newly breaking chain shop, next to a real man-sized mannequin in red uniform, who looked ready to dash for working, with the head leaned comically.
“Sorry, I should have talked more correctly. I can’t run away from his gaze after me any more, out of any angle from him.”
I couldn’t understand what his irritatingly wandering laughter meant, but I also lost nerve to look back again at the mannequin, trying not to think about which side its head had been twisted to.
Is this my daymare in which I hid myself from the mannequin suddenly appeared trotting and talking busily anywhere I went, even when I turned on TV?
“Here we see three mannequins of hot topic in red uniform, a bit worn, in this backyard of his restaurant. Many listeners reported us this rumor that they have some chats or quarrels every night. Then, we asked the owner of them to join us here. You are just the image of them.”
“No! they are the image of me, and of my younger brother whom you know as TV talent. Truth is simply that someone confused us with these mannequins when we visited this place to talk about how to deal with them several times at nights before.”
“And it’s no wonder that we have due right to join in the talk about our own re-start.”

『テツヤ』と『シンペイ』の漫才コンビは、熊本で人気ラジオ番組の司会をしています。まず読者の不思議な、或いはどこか可笑しな体験の投書を読み、それから自分達でその現場へ行って、そこで起きたことをレポートするのです。タイトルは『まうごつ熊本』、キャッチフレーズは『好いとるばい 都市伝説！』です。
（エピソード１）
「俺は、もうあいつから逃げられない。」
その男は、年齢も分からない位疲れ果てて見えた。溜息をつき、どこに向けているのか分からない視線を私に向けた。
「どういうこと？この変な男が追いかけてくるってえの？冗談なの？じゃなきゃ、きっと疲れてるんだよ。」
大躍進のチエーン店、その一軒の前に私達はいる。赤い制服を着た等身大のマネキンがある。今にも駆け出しそうに、おどけたように首を傾けている。
「すまん。もっと正確に言うべきだった。逃げられないのは、あいつの視線からだ。どこにいても、あいつの目が俺を追いかけてくる。」
私には、その男の何故か人をイラつかせる投げやりな笑いの意味は分からなかった。しかし私にも、最早あのマネキンを振り返って見る勇気はなかった。アイツの首はどっちを向いていた？それは考えないようにした。
これは私の白日夢なのか？私の行く先どこにでもあのマネキンが現れる。忙しそうに小走りに何か言いながら。TVを点けても現れる。
「ここに、あの話題の赤い制服のマネキンがいますね、三体も。少し古いですかね。このレストランの裏にいます。多くの視聴者の方から報告がありました。このマネキン達が、夜になると喋ったり、喧嘩してるそうです。そこで、このマネキンの所有者の方に来ていただきました。いや～ホントにマネキンそっくりですね。」
「ちげ～よ。マネキンが俺そっくりなんだよ。それと、俺の弟そっくり。TVでよく見るでしょ、あいつのこと。ホントはさ、単純な話だよ。俺と弟がね、これをどうしようか夜に何度かここで相談したことがあんの。それを見間違えたんだよ。」
「そして、我々が、我々自身の再出発について議論に加わるのも、我々の当然の権利でしょう。」
