The Tale of Wrapping Tightly
“Help us, sister Shiuzku! Hina, sitting at the top of the stair, won’t leave from the door of Otemo-chan’s room. I, Otemo-chan, and Banto –Kun were in the room, but only I could escape, not mentioning about Banto-kun inside. Nowadays Hina got so jealous of him, who become so intimate with Otemo-chan and told her about Hina’s scatter-brained blunders carelessly. Otemo-chan was asking Hina to wait a little more at the door. But Hina seemed to notice someone else in the room.
Pollen-chan’s scattered report made Shizuku shrug her shoulder. Anyway Shizuku couldn’t help giving support to so prospective member of her soccer team in the future. She luckily recalled a trick by which Thai-Pi-Yuan had teased Hina before.
“Hina, don’t you want to see what is happening in the room, not being seen by anybody?”
Hina with half reddened eyes nodded frantically to Shizuku’s malicious grinning.
“I brought this magical wrapping cloth for you. It can make anything wrapped invisible. Don’t you want to surprise Otemo-chan? Let’s try. Be carefully to wrap you without any opening. This wrapping cloth won’t work with any opening. O.K. Be watchful! This stair is narrow and steep. Please don’t move and wait at the edge a little more. Shut your mouse! No need to say thanks now and make no sound. Look around once more not to leave anything. What? Of course I have opened door for you. It must be your false sense of sweet chocolate passing by!”
What was unexpected was loud calling of Thai-Pi-Yuan from the entrance below. Just in the nick of time Shizuku succeeded in pressing Hina’s ear, but failed to hold Hina slipping away from the wrapping cloth and rushing down on the stair to Thai-Pi-Yuan.
“I remember! You once deceived me like that! You can’t deceive me twice!!”
In the matter of course, Hina soon made up with Otem-chan and Banto-kun.
This trifle farce only made Banto-kun a bit more respectful to Thai-Pi-Yuan and made Hina more indifferent to just the same person.

「助けて、シズクお姉ちゃん！ヒナが階段の一番上に腰かけて、オテモちゃんの部屋の前でむくれてるの。オテモちゃんと番人君が部屋の中にいるの。あたしだけ、番人君が中にいることは言わずに逃げてきたの。この頃、番人君とオテモちゃんがとっても仲良しになったんで、ヒナ焼き餅焼いてるの。それに番人君、ヒナは何でもすぐ忘れるんだねって、うっかりオテモちゃんに言っちゃったの。オテモちゃんはヒナに、部屋の外でもう少し待ってちょうだいって言ったんだけど、ヒナ、中に誰かいるのに気が付いてるみたい。」
穂(ぽ)怜(れん)ちゃんのとりとめのない訴えに、シズクは肩をすくめました。しかしともかく、女子サッカー部が入部を待っている期待の星の頼みは断れませんでした。それに運よく、前にタイ・ピー・エンがヒナをからかった話を思い出したのです。
「ヒナ、誰にも見られず、部屋の中で何が起きてるか見たいと思わない。」
目を半分赤くしたヒナは、シズクの怪しい笑顔に激しく頷きました。
「これは魔法の風呂敷よ。これで包んだものは何でも見えなくなるの。オテモちゃんを驚かしたくない。やってごらん。隙間があったら駄目よ。隙間があると見えちゃうでしょ。これで良し。気を付けて！この階段は狭くて急なんだから。動かないで、もう少し端によって待っててね。黙って！今はお礼なんて言わなくていいから、音をたてずに。忘れ物ない？何！？勿論、あなたのためにドアを開けてあげたのよ。今、チョコレートケーキの匂いが通って行ったって？気のせいよ。」
思いがないことが起きました。階下の玄関から、タイ・ピー・エンが大きな声で誰かに呼びかけているのです。シズクは危うくヒナの耳を押さえましたが、風呂敷からすり抜けて階段をタイ・ピー・エン目指して駆け下りていくヒナを止めることは出来ませんでした。
「思い出したぞ！前もこんな風にあたしを騙したな！もう騙されないからね！」
当然、ヒナとオテモちゃんと番人君はすぐに仲直りしました。この出来事以来、番人君は少しタイー・ピー・エンを見直してくれましたが、ヒナのタイ・ピー・エンへの扱いは一層ぞんざいになりました。

近所で見かけた光景です。「惜しみない」という表現は、子供の笑顔そのものだと思います。
You tubeで「お母さんの歌に感動して泣く赤ちゃん」という動画が人気だそうですが、私も見ました。歌に感動しているというより、お母さんの感情と表情が赤ちゃんに映っているんだと思います。
