The Clash - Should I Stay Or Should I Go

この間、嵐の「やっちゃった感」のある曲の話をしましたが、
遠い海の向こうのイギリスのアイドル・グループのワン・ダイレクションも
「やっちゃった感」いっぱいの曲をリリースしてましたね。

ま、ちょっと前にリリースされた曲ですが、
今でもランキング上位にとどまっていて
まだまだテレビやラジオでよく耳にします。

その度に「あーやっちゃったね。。。」と思ってしまううワケです。

One Direction - Live While We're Young


で、その元・・・って言って良いのか分かりませんが、
限りなく黒に近いグレーの偶然の一致がコレ・・・
ザ・クラッシュの1982年のヒット曲、
「シュッド・アイ・オア・シュッド・アイ・ゴー」です。

ま、こんなに若い男の子のグループに
オッサン世代の曲が取り入れられているのは
ちょっと嬉しい気もしますけどね。。。





ところで、ザ・クラッシュの中心人物の
ジョー・ストラマーの訃報が届いたのが10年前の今頃でした。

暖かい日の午後、車を運転していた時のことで、
ラジオからそのニュースが流れてきたのを覚えています。

没後ちょうど10年にして彼がワン・ダイレクションの身体を借りて
甦ったのでしょう・・・ってコトにしておきましょうか。。。

命日は12月22日、満50歳でした。
