Foooood for Thought
In life, we should always move forward.
But I have a serious tendency of staying stuck and pondering over the same issue again and again.
Let me get this out of my system so that I can move forward today :)
Unfortunately, I lost one of fave library books. Uh ho, but that's beside the point.
Fortunately, and coincidentally, we bumped into Mr Steven, and we kinda chatted a little bit.
His words gave me new perspective, and I'm glad he understood how I feel towards the marketing line.
I told him I dislike how Marketing field usually lies to consumers about things, and that I am rather stronglly against consumerism (altho I continue to buy things............) which marketing actively stimulates.
And he shared what someone shared with him, be part of the process so that at least you get to influence the outcome somehow, rather than avoiding it, and letting someone else take over the job and you end up having no influence over the outcome.
And I'm surprised he reads the four great classical novels, altho he doesn't like hong lou meng
I'm grateful to hear words of wisdom from him.Thank you Mr Steven.
The next lecturer I met on appointment with Shihui was Mr Jimmy.
Really, TP, please broadcast to all students such great lecturers exist in TP.
His opinions certainly stretched my mind a little bit more, and assured me that I'm still sane ;) haha.
Thankful, thankful, thankful to the Universe for bringing such deep conversations to me today.
Learning points: Figure out the values you want to uphold in life, and do whatever you want that are aligned with your values. Even, be the best teacher of the values you stand for. Never underestimate your influence, and perhaps it doesn't matter how much people you have influence over, but have you been using your influence?
