皆さんこんにちは。
実は昨日１１月２日に世界タイトルを３度も獲得しているハワイ出身のAndy Ironsが病気のため亡くなりました。大変残念なニュースです。
私はTwitterでこのニュースを昨日知りました。
私自身も彼のサーフィンが好きだったので大変ショックです。ご冥福をお祈りいたします。
そこで、サーファー達が彼の残念なニュースについて語っている記事の中から、いくつか日本語訳とともにご紹介させて頂きたいと思います。

Kelly Slater (USA) said.
「皆それぞれAndyとはレベルは違えど繋がりを持っていたんだ」
「彼のご家族、友達全員に心よりお悔やみ申し上げます」
"We’re a surfing family. We all look out for each other. We are all hurting right now and we’re just wanting to pay our respects.
Mick Fanning (AUS) said.
「俺たちはサーフィンファミリーで、お互いに面倒を見合ってるんだ。だからこそ皆が今とても傷ついていて、ただ冥福を祈りたい」
No matter where you were or how busy he was, he’d stop and say hi and ask how you were going. He’s going to be really really missed by everyone.
Stephanie Gilmore (AUS) said
「たとえどこにいようと、どんなに忙しくても、彼はいつも立ち寄ってくれて気遣ってくれた。皆彼の事は忘れない」
“Out of respect for the passing of Andy Irons yesterday, the ASP, event organizers and the surfers have all decided to postpone the Rip Curl Pro Search Puerto Rico until Friday,” ASP announced.
「故Andy Ironsに敬意を表し、プエルトリコRip Curl Proを金曜まで延期する事を決定しました」
