I went to a shop to buy a frame for a picture from my grandparents.
There was a wide variety of sizes, colors and texture. The picture has a size of what we call Shikishi in Japan. Frames in the exact size were available at reasonable prices, but it looked to me like it's cramed. I prefer bigger size so the space around it makes it look stylish. But, bigger ones had relatively heavy weights and higher prices.
I first thought black would be a good fit, but my wife recommended white. Mm, white was actually a choice. Black offered a sharp looking and white gave a soft impression.
Making spaces around a picture requires some mats to be installed. There also was a large variety of colors and texture of mats. The point is how I want to present the picture. But it's easy just to say, and hard to decide.
At last, I chose brown one which was displayed with a fine picture around the entrance, and a white mat. I'm sure the combination of brown and white will make the picture stylish and enhance its soft impression from grandparents. I'm looking forward to seeing them enrich my life.
