先日思い込みメガネのことを書いたからか、
昔聞いてとても納得した、
トヨタの株主総会で当時の豊田章男社長が突然話した
「ロバを連れている老夫婦の話」を思い出した。
急に思い出すと、何かのお知らせのことが多いので
書き残しておこうと思う。
★ロバと老夫婦の話
ロバを連れながら夫婦ふたりが一緒に歩いていると、こう言われます。
「ロバがいるのに乗らないのか？」と。
またご主人がロバに乗って、奥様が歩いていると、こう言われると思います。
「威張った旦那だ」と。
奥様がロバに乗って、ご主人が歩いていると、
たぶん、「あの旦那さんは奥様に頭が上がらない」と。
夫婦が揃ってロバに乗っていると、
「ロバがかわいそうだ」と。
要は、言論の自由という名のもとに、
何をやっても批判されるということを伝えたかったようだ。
「メディアの傲慢さを感じられずにはいられません！
」と言っていた。
私はその当時この話を聞いて、
人はみんな別々の世界を自分の目で見ているのだと感じた。
特に私は、他人も自分と同じことを感じていると思う癖があるので、
この話は強烈に覚えている。
みんな自分の世界で生きているのだろう。
どれだけたくさんの地球🌎が存在しているのだろう。
Perhaps because I wrote about assumed spectacles the other day,
I remembered a story about an old couple with a donkey,
which I heard a long time ago and was very convinced by,
told suddenly by then President Akio Toyota at a Toyota shareholders' meeting.
I'd like to leave this as a reminder of something that suddenly comes to mind.
★The story of an old couple with a donkey
When an old couple are walking together while carrying a donkey, they say.
'You have a donkey, but you don't ride it?' And.
And if the husband rides the donkey and the wife walks, they will say.
'You are a bossy husband.'
If the wife rides the donkey and the husband walks, they will probably say.
'That husband is not bossy with his wife.'
If the husband and wife are riding together on a donkey,
'I feel sorry for the donkey.'
The point seems to be that they wanted to convey
that they would be criticised no matter what they did in the name of freedom of speech.
'I can't help feeling the arrogance of the media!' He said.
I heard this story at the time and felt
that we all see the world through our own eyes, which are separate.
I remember this story particularly intensely
because I have a habit of thinking that other people feel the same way as I do.
I guess we all live in our own world.
