第1位: ワーグナー「ニーベルングの指環」

まだ2022年は終わってないのに、第1位が発表できるのは変だと思いますが、今日と明日はベルリンでペトレンコ指揮のベルリン・フィルのジルベスターコンサートなのですが、今年はあまりにも素晴らしい公演に恵まれ、ランキング入りは難しいと思います(^^)。
今年の1番は、ベルリンのリング新制作でした。これには、かなり前から計画しており、2022年の4月の先行販売で第3サイクル（10/29-11/6)の前から1列目の良席をゲットしました。ベルリンであれば、リングの合間にベルリンフィルのコンサートやベルリン州立歌劇場のオペラなどの通常公演を入れ込めるので、充実したリング生活が過ごせると思ったからです。また、今年はバレンボイムさんの80歳のお祝いと言うことで歌手陣が現代では最高峰のキャスティングで、これ以上のない絶好の機会だと思いました。ところが、8月30日にStaatoperから指揮者変更のお知らせがメールで来ます↓（メール引用）。バレンボイムさんの健康状態が不安視されていたので、想定はしていましたが、まさかのティーレマンさんが指揮するとのこと。これも、ある意味、素晴らしいサプライズでした。長時間のリングを指揮するには相当な体力が要りますし、ティーレマンさんは現代の最高のワーグナー指揮者だと思っていたので、この変更も、第3位のネトレプコ出演のラ・ボエームと同じように、サプライズ変更でした。予想通り、一番評価が高かったのは、ティーレマンさんの音楽で、次にフォッレ、シェーガー、カンペらの歌手陣への評価も高かったです。ビリャゾンのローゲも目玉キャストでしたが、イマイチ、説得力がありませんでした(^^)。ミスター・ビーンみたいな服装で、演技もコミカルでした。また、演出はワルハラを化学研究所に置き換えた演出で、所々、意味不明な部分がありましたが、特にラインの黄金とワルキューレの演出でウサギが20匹ほど出てきますが、これは実験用の動物の保管場所として出てきます（第1サイクルではモルモットとウサギが30匹ずつ出てきて、動物愛護団体からの抗議で、今回のサイクルでウサギの演出は終了。でも、このサイクルはTV収録しており、日本で観れることを願います）。しばらくこれ以上のプロダクションは無いと思われ、貴重な体験でした。メルケル元首相ご夫妻も全ての演目をご鑑賞されていました。

Dear guests,
Daniel Barenboim has to cancel his participation in the new production of Richard Wagner's DER RING DES NIBELUNGEN, staged by Dmitri Tcherniakov, for health reasons. Christian Thielemann will take over the musical direction of the first and third cycles. The second cycle will be conducted by Thomas Guggeis.
Daniel Barenboim:
It is with great regret that I have to give up conducting the new RING at the Staatsoper for health reasons. I am still struggling with the consequences of the vasculitis I was diagnosed with in the spring, and with this decision I am following the advice of my attending physicians.
I am deeply saddened not to be able to conduct the new RING. Working with Dmitri Tcherniakov, the great ensemble and the Staatskapelle Berlin is a particularly fulfilling experience for me. However, I must now give priority to my health and concentrate on my complete recovery.
The Staatsoper is very close to my heart. That is why I am very happy that my esteemed colleague Christian Thielemann has agreed to take over the conducting of the first and third cycles at short notice. We have known each other for a long time, and I know that the RING is in extraordinarily good hands with him. Thomas Guggeis, a great young conductor whom I have long supported and appreciated, will take over the second cycle. I wish them and everyone involved all the best with this production.«
