ビーチのタヴェルナ・The Beaches Taverna

タヴェルナとはギリシャ料理の店である。
Taverna means Greek restaurant.
トルコではポピュラー音楽、イタリア語では大衆食堂。
In Turkey, its a popular music whereas in Italian it means, a large food court.
タソス島のビーチレストランで食べたギリシャ料理です。
Here are the Greek foods that we ate at the beach restaurant in Thassos.



タコとイカのカラマリ（カラマリと＝フライという意味）とチップス。
Octopus and squid calamari with chips.



ギリシャサラダ。
Greek salad.



マリデス魚とチップスの盛り合わせ。
Marides fishes with chips.



チキンとポークのスヴゥラキ。
Chicken and pork souvlaki
横にはチップス、サラダとザシキ（ヨーグルトソース）。
With chips, salad and zashiki (yogurt) on the sides.

ウニがたくさん・Too many Sea Urchin's

今日はタソス島の反対側にあるビーチに行った。
Today we went to the beach on the other side of Thassos island.
このビーチも人が少なく、静かでのんびり過ごせることができる。
This beach is has less people too, making a quiet and cosy environment to relax.



海はあいからわず綺麗で透明なんだが
The sea is always beautiful and clear
足下を見て、回りを見渡すとウニだらけ。
but there's sea urchin's surrounding when I looked around.
これじゃあ足がつく場所ではまともに歩けないじゃないか。
I can't even walk properly if theres so many of them.

ん？いや、待てよ。
Hmm..? But wait.
ウニがたくさんいるってことは・・
There's many sea urchin's.. meaning
たくさんウニが食べられる・・！！ぐへへへ・・
I can eat as many sea urchin's as I want...!!! Hehehehe....

っと僕は怪しげな笑みを顔に広げ、一人で気持ち悪くニヤニヤしながら思った。
which I thought, while having a suspicious grin on my smirky face .
ちょっと怖いですね。
Sounds a bit creepy I guess.

Umibouzu (will directly be translated as sea skinhead/ sea bold I think. But it's a Japanese round head monster that lives in the sea based on old fairy tales. Do you get it?)

リメナリアのビーチ・The beach in Limenaria 2

リメナリアのビーチも人が少なく、リラックスできる。家族連れが多い。
There's not much people at the family friendly beach of Limenaria.


皆ひと泳ぎをした後、お腹が空いたから
After we all swam in the sea, hunger came next
砂浜にある階段を上がった先にシーフードレストランがあるので

seafood restaurant which we decided to dine for lunch.



左上のお皿に乗っかっているのはギリシャサラダ。
The dish on the upper left is Greek salad.
手前のお皿にはギリシャ人が好きなフライドポテト、レモン、マリディス（小魚）とサラダ。
The dish on the front has chips (which Greek people like), lemon, mar ides (small fish) and salad.
レモンをマリディスと上に乗っかっているサラダにたっぷり絞り、パクリと食べる。
You squeeze the lemon and drizzle on top of the marides has salad on top and eat it
in one bite.

美しく輝いている海を見ながらギリシャ料理を食べるのは格別です。
Eating greek food while viewing the beautiful shining sea in front of us is a treat.



イカのカラマリ＋フライドポテト盛りも注文して美味しく頂いた。
We also ate squid karamari and a lump of chips deliciously which we also ordered.




小型船が青いエーゲ海をゆっくり進んで行く。
The small ship slowly sails on the blue Aegean sea.
どこに向かっているのだろう。
I wonder where its heading towards.
