Arriving at Hua Luamphong station in Bangkok,
ローカルバスを捕まえて物価の安いカオサン通りに行きました。
I caught the local bus and went to Kaosan road where the accommodation price is cheap.
しかしバンコクのバスって面白いですね。
But these local buses in Bangkok are fun and surprising.
バスに乗って空いてる席に座ると、車掌さんが鉛筆ケースぐらいのスチール製ケース
When I got on the bus and sat in an empty seat, the bus guard came with her
を無言でジャラジャラ鳴らしながら上目使いでこっちを見ながら
steel made case and shaking the case when you can hear the coins been shaken inside
and she looked down at me and
こっちに歩いてくるんです。
walked silently towards me.
「あ？なんだよ？」と言っても無言でスチール製ケースをジャラジャラ鳴らすんです。
"What. What do you want?" I said to the bus guard but she keeps on shaking the steel case
while looking at me and not making a single word.
よく見ると、小銭がたくさん入っていて。あーなるほどー この中にお金を入れるんだー。
When I looked carefully, I saw the coins been shaken inside the case and so I understood
the Thai bus system.
と車掌さんが指でジェスチャーした数だけ入れればいいんだなっと７バーツを入れたら
The bus guard gestured me with her fingers so I put in 7bhats inside the case
０・５バーツをお釣りとして返ってきました 笑
and she gave me 0.5bhat as change lol
まあそれはともかく、
Leaving that story on the side,
カオサン通りについて安い宿を探しました。
I arrived at Kaosan Road and started to look for cheap accommodations.
しばらく探していると、Mama's shopという宿の飲食店の
While searching through to look for a good deal, I stumbled across this accommodation and
restaurant called Mama's shop.
タイの女の子が声をかけた。「君、宿を探してるの？」
A Thai girl came by and says "hey you, are you looking for a place to stay?"
「安い宿を探しているんだ。」
"I'm looking for a cheap accommodation"
「よかったら一緒に座って話そうよ。君に興味あるし。疲れてるんでしょ？ほら、座りな！」
"Why don't you come and sit down and have a chat. I'm interested in you and your tired right? Come on, sit down!"
「はぁ？じゃあちょっとだけなら・・」
"Huh? ok maybe for a bit.."
と座って色々話した。
I sat down and started to talk about different things.
名前はキキ（本名じゃないのはわかってる）。
Her name is Kiki (I knew it wasn't her real name).
チェンマイ出身（？）で仕事が休みだからバンコクで遊んでいる（らしい）。
She's from Chiang Mai (?) and is on working holiday so she came to Bangkok for fun (apparently)
ある意味、僕が天然で鈍感だからこういうものに引っかかっちゃう。
I get caught into these traps usually because I'm stupid.
しばらくして
Later on Kiki suddenly said
「あたしお得な場所を知ってるんだ。二人でダブルベッドの部屋借りて１泊２００バーツ！
"Hey I know a good place. We can share a double bed with the two of us in a room and
ね！？安くない！？」とキキが突然言った。
pay 200bhat per night! Isn't it cheap!? Right?!"
「チェンマイのほうが安いし、そもそも知り合ったばっかりなのに一緒に部屋借りるのは
"Well Chiang Mai was more cheaper but even before talking about that, I just met you
できない。悪いけどまだ信用していない」と言い返した。

「そんなこと言わずにさぁ～！！１泊だけでもいいから！ほら！それでも嫌だったら
"Oh come ooonnnnn!! Just 1 night! Come on! OK, if you still don't like it then
そこを出て他の場所に泊まったらいいじゃない！」
just move to another place!"
「わかったよ・・・じゃあ１泊だけならいいよ・・」
"Ok.... only for just 1 night..."
そのときの僕はまだなにも知らなかった。
I didn't know anything about what was going on.
