新潟の海岸まで・To the coast of Niigata

僕らは自転車を借りて太陽が沈む方向の海岸まで漕いだ。
We rented the bicycle and pedalled towards the seaside where the sun will sink down.
体を横切る柔らかい塩味の風が夏の暑さを忘れさせてくれる。
The salty wind which trespass our body helps me forget the hot summer temperature.



海岸、海に行くのは久しぶりだなー
Its been a while coming to the seaside, well sea.
何年ぶりだろう・・
I don't know how many years its been..



↑ここを下ると、目の前には広大な海が見えます。
You'll see the expanding ocean in front of you, when you come down from here.

海についたぜ　キャッホーイ！！！
Yesssssss we arrived to the sea!!
魚でも釣ってジャパニーズSASHIMIにでもしたいぜ！！腹減ったぜええぇいぃ！！！！
I feel like fishing and turn the fish into Japanese SASHIMIII!! Im so hungryyyyy!!!!




「０００ちゃんのことが好きだーーー！！！！！！！」
"I LOVE OOO(name goes in here)---!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
っと誰かが近くで叫んでいました。
Someone was screaming from somewhere near where we were.

「がんばれよーーー！！！！！！」
So I thought of screaming back
っと叫び返そうと思いました。
"GOODLUCK--!!!"

お賽銭を拒否された - Money getting rejected

４人で新潟の白山神社に行ってきた。
The 4 of us went to the Hakusan jinjya (shrine) in Niigata.

お賽銭箱にお金を投げて
I threw some Japanese coins into the
Osaisen box (a spiritual box to make an offering to god)
手を叩いて祈ろうとしたが、
and was going to clap my hands and pray a wish,
どこか変な所に当たったのか、お賽銭がコロコロと戻ってきて、途中で止まっている。
but could it of hit and bounced off from something weird inside the box, the coin I was going to offer and make a praise rolled back and just stopped rolling, half way through. It hasn't gone inside the box yet.
これを３回やって同じことが起こった。
I did this 3 times and the results were the same.
お賽銭が入らないなんて、どこまでお金に見放されているのだろうか。
Do I have some kind of bad relation with money of something?

結局４回目にお金をお賽銭箱にスラムダンク。
So for my 4th attempt, I decided to slamdunk the coin into the Osaisen box and prayed
なんか心がスゥーっとした。
I felt soothed.

「ロンドンの住んでるアパートにTOTO新型ウォシュレットが現れますように」
"I wish the latest TOTO washlet suddenly appears in the London flat that I live in"


　

糸の輪- String knots

↑バンコクで入院していたフランス人のジョンからもらったもの。
I got this from Jon, the French guy who had to stay in hospital in Bangkok.
嬉しかったけど、最後は誰かに渡した。
I was happy at first but decided to give it to someone else at the end.



左からなんの糸の輪かと説明していくと
If I describe these string knots starting from the left,
一番左の輪はフランス人のジョンがどこかでもらったものらしい。
The string knot on the very left is from Jon who was given by someone else apparently.
その隣はチェンマイのお坊さんからもらったもので色は黄色です。
The next yellow coloured knot was given from a monk in Chiang Mai.
なんとなく絡まってる二つの糸の輪がありますが、
Theres like 2 tangled knots after the yellow knot
太い方はギリシャからもらったもので、細い方はラオスのノンカーイのお坊さんから
and the thick one is a knot which I was given in Greece and the thin one is
もらったもので色はオレンジ色です。
from a Monk in Nong Khai (Laos) and the colour is orange.
赤い糸の輪はアンコールワットでたまたま見かけたお坊さんからもらったもので
The red knot after those 2 knots was given from a monk which
I met by chance in Angkor Wat.
最後に、色がない数珠は上野・アメ横で買ったものです　笑
The last beads with no colour was bought in Ueno-Ameyoko in Tokyo haha
