When two women visited the tomb of Jesus, an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, rolled back the stone, and opened the tomb. The soldiers guarding the tomb did not believe in the resurrection and were paralyzed with fear at the appearance of the angel and the earthquake. They were also gripped by the fear of punishment for failing to guard the tomb.
The angel reassured the frightened women, telling them that Jesus had risen and instructing them to deliver this message to His disciples. The women, filled with both fear and joy, hurried away and on their way encountered the risen Jesus. They fell at His feet and worshiped Him.

二人の女性がイエスの墓を訪れたとき、天から主の天使が降りてきて石を転がし、墓を開けました。墓を守っていた兵士たちは、復活を信じず、天使の出現や地震、墓を守れなかったことへの処罰の恐れに囚われ、何もできない状態でした。
天使は恐れる女性たちに、イエスが復活されたことを伝え、弟子たちにこの知らせを伝えるよう指示しました。女性たちは恐れと喜びが入り混じった状態で急いで立ち去り、その途中で復活されたイエスに出会い、彼の足にひれ伏して礼拝しました。

On the morning of the resurrection, negative stories were circulating everywhere.
復活の朝、あちらこちらで否定的な話が飛び交っていました。
The passage highlights two contrasting groups: “those who guard” and “those who seek.” The soldiers guarding the tomb did not believe in the resurrection, but the two women did.
本文では、「守る者」と「探す者」という対照的な二つのグループが描かれています。墓を守っていた兵士たちは復活を信じませんでしたが、二人の女性は信じていました。
Both groups shared a common feeling of fear, but the difference lay in their response: the women, though initially fearful, still felt joy and quickly left to share the good news.
彼らには両者とも恐れているという共通点がありますが、違いは、女性たちは直前まで恐れており、依然として恐れを感じながらも喜びで急いで立ち去ったという点です。
