ワイナリーを作る
ワインの勉強をし、ワインアドバイザーの資格を取ったのが２００１年。あれから１８年もたっているの…びっくり。
I was qualified as a wine advisor. It ’s been 18 years since then.
マスターオブワインの大橋健一氏とワインの番組を担当する中で、資格を取れ！との号令で最初は冗談でしょ、だったのが、本気になり、大橋氏直伝で最後は大学受験レベルの知識量に四苦八苦しながらようやく合格することができました。
息子は当時小学生。座学の勉強をした後に、息子に手伝ってもらいながら赤５、白５品種、寝る前にブランインドテストを繰り返し体と脳でワインの味わいを叩き込んでいきます。
My son was an elementary school student at the time. With the help of his son, 5 red and 5 white varieties, before going to bed, repeat the blind test and learn the taste of wine in the body and brain.
勉強が苦し、楽しになったのは あの頃からなのかもしれません。息子も私の必至な姿を見て、大人も勉強するんだと思ったのでしょう。
あれから１８年。
18 years since then.
今は、那須町の実業家の室井さんとのご縁で、ワイナリーを作っていくという過程を追う番組を制作しています。

I am making a program that follows the process of making a winery with Mr. Muroi, a businessman in Nasu Town.
月に１回ワイナリーを訪れ、室井さんやスタッフの皆さんの活動などを追っています。
ワイナリーの広大な敷地の中には、トムソーヤを彷彿とさせる、ツリーハウスがあります。
We visit the winery once a month and follow the activities of Mr. Muroi and the staff. The vast estate of the winery has a tree house remind of Tom Sawyer.
ここ最近、那須の心地よい風が吹くテラスで収録しています。
Recently I recorded on a terrace with a comfortable breeze in Nasu.
ホスピタリティーの塊のような室井さんは、いつも私たちスタッフにおもてなしをしてくれます。今回は、収穫されたばかりのイチジクとブルーベリー。食用ほおづきって、バターの風味がするのですね。あまーーーい。幸せです。
ブドウ畑は少し前までは別荘放棄地になっていた場所。室井さんが開拓しなければ、太陽光発電になっていたかもしれません。
桑しか育たないような土地だといわれていましたが、人間が手を入れて耕していけば、その土地は生まれ変わるのですね。
敷地を挟んで向かい側には、りんどう湖ロイヤルホテルがあります。ホテルからもワイナリーの景観が一望できます。
ワイナリーができることで那須の景色が変わってくるはずです。
The vineyards were abandoned villas a while ago. If Mr. Muroi didn't pioneer, it might have been solar power. Locals said that it was a place where only mulberry can grow, but if people put in their hands and cultivate, that land will be reborn. On the opposite side of the site is Rindoko Royal Hotel. The hotel also has a panoramic view of the winery. The scenery of Nasu should change by having a winery.
室井さんは、世界中をめぐる中で、ワイナリーの可能性、魅力を実体験されてきました。
ワイナリーがあるところに、魅力的な人が集まります。文化が育ちます。
若い人もお年を召した人たちも、障害を持った人たちも、そこで働き、ともに笑顔でいることができます。
私もそんなお考えに賛同しちゃうなー。
ワイナリーはそんな夢のある場所です。Mr. Muroi has been experiencing the potential and charm of wineries throughout the world. Attractive people gather where there is a winery. Culture grows up. Young people, old people, and people with disabilities can work there and smile together. I agree that the winery is a place with such a dreams.
私もつなぎと、長靴を履いて、農作業を手伝います。
土を触るとホッとしますね。I also wear work clothes, wear boots and help with farming. I feel relieved when I touch the soil.
