- Your thoughts are less important than your feelings and your feelings need acknowledgment.
- Suffering is good (sometimes) — shows you what's important and what’s not.
- You’re not always the center of attention — there are better people than you.
- Unless you can learn to embrace the feeling of boredom, you’ll have a hard time undertaking the monotonous, unattractive work that’s required to be successful.
- Sometimes people you trust will betray you — and it’s fine, take some time and get over it. Never put too many expectations on other people.
- You get stronger by doing hard things — facing hard truth, difficult situations, etc. When life is easy, we become complacent. Growth comes from doing things that require a serious amount of effort.
- Actions do speak louder than words — nobody trusts a two-timer. Be honest and authentic to yourself and the people around you.
- Failures are unavoidable — even if you give your 200% percent, it doesn’t mean you find success for sure. Failures are here to teach you what nothing and no one can. Absorb what failures want to teach you and move on to the next plan of action.
- Letting go is a skill you should master — you can’t make people stay and you will meet many temporary people in your lifetime. Remember that the people who belong in your life will always find a reason to stay, you can’t force anyone to stay.
- We give our lives meaning. If you feel that your life is meaningless then that is your fault.
- The only constant is change.
- It’s okay to be alone — you don’t need to entertain people/energy you don't want to, it's not your duty. Don’t feel the need to be validated by everyone, it’s better to be alone than be uncomfortable in some situations.
My own quote: Seeking validation is pointless. The people who belong in your life will always find a reason to stay. Let go of all you can't control. Hyperfocus on your timeline.
