■ stay connected
「接続を保つ」という意味で、「（家族などが）お互いに連絡を保ち合う」といった意味や、「インターネットへの接続を保つ」という意味で用いられます。
■ irk
「立腹させる」、「うんざりさせる」という意味で、annoyやirritateと同義です。
次のような例文が挙げられていました。
It irks her when people smoke cigarettes while walking along the street.
■ have the audacity to
「厚かましくも･･･する」という意味で、have the gall toとも言います。
次のような例文が挙げられていました。
He had the audacity to ask me to cover up his mistake.
■ late comer
「対応の遅い人」、「遅参者」という意味です。
■ come under increasing pressure to
「･･･することを益々迫られる」という意味です。
次のような例文が挙げられていました。
The company is under increasing pressure to offer next day delivery because of fast Internet services.
■ top the list
「首位を占める」という意味で、次のような例文が挙げられていました。
Customer service tops the list of things we need to improve.
■ stand out in the crowd
「ひときわ目立つ」という意味で、単に stand outでも同じ意味になります。
次のような例文が挙げられていました。
Company X stands out from the crowd due to its low prices.
