センチュリーコーンを作るケントさんの農場に今年もインターンがやってきました。
今日はそのインターンのマライアさんからのメールを紹介します。
こんにちは皆さん
私はマライア リン、ジョージア州から来ました。
ジョージアはイリノイから南に車で１１時間掛かります。
南ジョージアのエイブラハムボルドウィンアグリカルチャルカレッジで学んでいて、８月から４年生になります。
私は北ジョージアにある小規模な競技会用に牛を育てる農家で育ち、アンガスの純血種と共にシンメンタールの掛け合わせも育てています。
イリノイのロック農場では様々な体験をしています。 写真を幾つか付けましたが、貨車の荷降ろし作業やライ麦の収穫、そしてライ麦畑に立っている写真などです。
マライア リン
火曜日には、マコームの牧場で開かれた牧草の講習会に参加したそうです。
異なる牧草を使い分けて放牧することで、少ない肥料でより多くの牛を飼うことができ、土壌壌や水質の保全に役立つそうです。
マライアさんも様々なことをケントさんの農場で学んでいそうです。

Good Afternoon everyone,
My name is Mariah Lynn and I’m from the state of Georgia, which is about eleven hours south of Illinois. I’m currently enrolled in Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (ABAC) in South Georgia where I will be a senior In August. I was raised on a small show cattle cow/calf operation in North Georgia where we raise mostly Purebred Angus and some Angus/Simmental cross.
I have been able to experience lots of different things here in Illinois with the Locks, Ive attached some pictures of me working on the rail cars and also one of me mowing Rye and one of me standing next to the rye.
