Minor league debut

The Carp's minor league played the game against the Tigers' minor league at Yuu Baseball Ground in Yamaguchi prefecture on Tuesday.
Mike Schultz pitched a scoreless sixth inning, allowing one hit and one walk.
His fastball was clocked at 94 mph.

The Carp defeated the Chunichi Dragons 3-1 at Hiroshima on Saturday.
Alex Ochoa hit a two-run homer and Scott Seabol homered in the fourth inning.

Ben Kozlowski pitched 2/3 inning in the ninth, and got his second save.
He allowed one hit with one walk.

vs. the Swallows on Apr. 9

The Carp beat the Yakult Swallows 1-0 at Jingu Stadium on Wednesday.
Starter Colby Lewis(2-1) worked a scoreless eight innings and got the win.
He allowed four hits with three walks while striking out eleven.

Carp outfielder Alex Ochoa singled in the winning run in the top of the fifth.
Ben Kozlowski came onto the mound in the ninth and got one out.
Ryuji Yokoyama (1-0) pitched 2/3 inning, and got his first save for almost three years.

Colby Lewis will pitch again Tuesday at Koshien Stadium.
