Minor league

According to sports papers, Mike Schultz will pitch in a minor league game on April 15.
On Apr. 15, the Carp's minor league will play against the Tigers' minor league at Yuu Baseball Ground in Yamaguchi prefecture.

Mike has pitched for batting practice at Ohno Training Facility since the beginning of this month.

vs. Yokohama on Apr. 5

The Carp beat the Yokohama Baystars, 4-3 at Hiroshima on Saturday.
Carp center fielder Soichiro got a game-winning single in bottom of 10th.
Ben Kozlowski threw a scoreless ninth inning.
Right-hander Ryuji Yokoyama pitched in the top of the 10th, and got the win.

First win

The Carp beat Hanshin 4-2 for their first win of the season on Thursday.
Starter Colby Lewis(1-1) went seven innings and got the win.
Colby allowed six hits, two walks, one earned runs while striking out nine, and he got the game ball from his teammate.

Closer Ben Kozlowski pitched in the ninth inning for his first save in Japan.
Ben pitched 2/3 inning, allowing no runs and struck out one.
