The Carp beat the Chiba Marines 8-5 on Thursday at Chiba Marine Stadium.
Mike Schultz contributed a 1-2-3 scoreless inning in the eighth inning.

He allowed six hits and one run while striking out four.
Colby's parents watched the game at Hiroshima Municipal Stadium.

Mike Schultz relieved Coby, and got one out in the eighth.
