Kozlowski to be starter

The Carp pitching coach told reporters that Ben Kozlowski would pitch as a starter in minor league next week.

After the Carp finish their interleague schedule next week, they will need more starters.
Then the coach hopes that Ben will pitch as a starter in the top league as soon as possible.

Third baseman Scott Seabol was added to the active roaster on June 17, and he has been struggling with batting slump.
If Scott Seabol were taken off the active roaster, Ben would be at the top league.

The Carp lost to the Fighters 7-8 at Hiroshima Municipal Stadium on Tuesday.
Mike Schultz came into the game in the ninth, and pitched a scoreless inning while allowing one hit.

A Carp official told reporters Monday that the Carp might get another third baseman.
One of candidates is Scott Michael McClain, who played in Japan for the Lions from 2001-04.
