The owner of the Hiroshima Carp told reporters this week that he is thinking Marty Brown would be manager of the Carp next season if they get more wins than losses in this season.

Until this week, Marty had admitted that he would not be the manager of the carp in 2009 unless he leads the team into the Central League play off series this season.
Apparently Marty wants to remain the position.

The owner might be softening pressure on the manager.
He probably thinks that it is easier for the Carp to get 72 wins than finishing third of the Central League regular season.

Ben Kozlowski pitched as a starter in minor league as the Carp pitching coach had told reporters that last week.

Ben allowed one run and one hit in five innings.
And the Carp minor league affiliate beat the Hawks 3-2 at Yuu Baseball Ground on Tuesday.

Colby Lewis(10-5) pitched six innnings, and took the loss.
It's his first lost game of the interleague.
He allowed three runs with seven hits, and struck out six and walked three.
(Colby has caught a cold this week, and went to a hospital in Hiroshima city on Friday.)

Mike Schultz threw a scoreless inning, and allowed one hit.
